When in Night Mode, some of the LEDs on my Radion light appear to be brighter than others. What is causing this?
-
When in night mode and running the LEDs below 10% its very difficult to control the current through the LEDs accurately, so due to different tolerances in the back voltage of the LEDs on different clusters, and the fact that the royal blue LEDs are on two different LED driver channels (one channel per cluster for royal blue), you may see one cluster turn on before the other at the lowest of intensities. Also due to the same tolerances, you might see some LEDs that might not turn on at the lowest intensities, which is why we demo the color while in the color selection window so that you can see what intensity works for your tank.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I have moon light setting at 10-5% and when the 8-5% starts one complete light puck in the fixture kicks out and no deep blue led comes on at all.....real bummer. We should be able to throttle the less down to lower percentages

I installed 4 Radion units yesterday. Love them,. by the way. But, same issue. I have it set for Natural lighting, and at night time units 1, 2, and 4 have almost no light at all, while unit 3 has a greenish/blue color that seems overly bright.

Ben,
Are your lights running on Natural Mode (by pressing and holding the Cycle button until the LED on top is solid green)? -

I am experiencing the same issue that Ben is describing with my three Radion units. One unit lights the tank green while the other two units remain dark.

Anthony,
Do you have "Inherit Group Schedule" checked on all of your lights in the EcoSmart Software Utility? -
-
Hi Johnathan,
When the software is started that option is checked, however, when I choose the Group or attempt to start a new program that check box goes away. Should the "Inherit Group Schedule" be checked to get the whole group to work together?
Thanks. -
-
Yes, it should be selected on each individual light within a group, which will then grey out the graph so that you must program the group as a whole (by selecting it).

Johnathan, I have been having a problem with 1 of my 3 lights not inheriting the group schedule. My quick fix was to export the schedule and then import the same schedule for the other lights. This worked but requires a little extra work. Not bad but just curious as to whether you have experienced the same problems before and if so what is the fix.

Hi,
I have the same issue, in natural mode on my radion in the night mode, no led are on. My led on top is solid green. If I try to simulate the Natural mode from the Ecotech Config Utily, the Leds are only on from 6 AM to 7 PM.
From 7PM to 6AM, the Brightness are set to 14% but all the colors are in 0%.
I have set the Royal Blue to 100% during this period and now it was working.

Another similar issue: http://community.ecotechmarine.com/ec...
Appears also looking to forums, that this problem even after having calibrated happens quite frequently -
