Hey Ecotech, I just bought a radion fixture, to replace a current led light that burnt ou. While I only have one now, by christmas I should have my second fixture. I've had it less than 24 hours and am already very impressed.
I am having a problem though-I programmed an artificial mode, previewed it, and it looks great, but I want to use built in natural mode for now. The fixture doesn't seem to want to go into natural mode. I can preview natural mode and everything, but when I leave it on natural mode (just leave that tab up correct?) and quit the program, the fixture still has a blue indicator light, and is not holding my times as if it were in natural mode. What am I doing wrong?

That's pretty funny James, I have the same times set for the natural mode interval. I tried just about everything, I even "grouped" the one light I have to see if having a group made a difference. It did not work. I too did the program group, and then program system, and it also still does not work.

Same here I cannot get the units to go into "green" Natural mode. They stay in "blue" Artifical. Also, If I check "inherit Group" it wipes out all the configurations I've done in either Aritfical or Natural modes. I leave "Inherit" unchecked to get things to work as programed.

The LED on the top of the Radion should be green when in Natural Mode. If after programming (which, I recommend hitting "Program Group" after making changes/updates to the software) the light is still blue, press and hold the "Cycle" button on the top of the light which will switch to Natural Mode.
PS- Please note that if your lights are grouped, changing modes on one light will change the mode on all of the lights in that group.-
Hi Johnathan,
Do i need to hit the "Program System" in the Tools tab after the setting or just hit the "Program Group" will do? I have only one radion. -

James,
If you are programming that specific group, then you can use "Program Group". Program system can be used when programming more than one group at a time. (But in reality, either will work just fine). -

Johnathan-thanks, this worked. I am now getting the green LED indicator, and hopefully it will be running off the programming I tweaked for the natural mode.

Yes worked for me also but it only made the green LED change when I hit cycle button on the unit I was not plugged into with my computer. I found it in the Quick Start Mannual but was assuming If I did Natural mode from the software it would go there. OK they are working now. Thanks!

Carsten,
Did you try holding the cycle button after programing natural mode? Try holding for approximately 3 to 4 seconds, and see if it changes to the "green" LED indicator signaling natural mode.
If you only tapped the cycle button you may be experiencing this issue.

Hi,
I had to reset my lights to factory and after that the cycle button did the trick. Not sure what happened but a happy customer now :)
That said, it would be nice if the software could tell me which mode is active at the lights. that would have made my life so much easier.
Cheers,

Hi,
Thanks for the head's up on holding the Cycle button to get it to Natural Mode.
My question then is...
I was clicking Program Group for Natural Mode and the software stated "Device Successfully Programed"... but the lights were still in Artificial Mode with a blue LED indicator on top... and therefore not changing to Natural.
I have successfully (Manually) changed to Natural Mode. Now, I've made changes to the Natural Program in the software and then click Program Group. Does that then program those settings now that it's been forced to be in Natural Mode via holding the Cycle button?
PS - I've got 2 Radions grouped... which was relatively simple. So far I'm stoked but want to get the setting dialed in so my corals can smile and flex out their polyps. :-)
Thanks,
Robert -

Robert,
When hitting the "Program Group" button, you are essentially programming both Natural and Artificial Modes on the Radion. At this time, toggling between those modes is manually done by holding the cycle button on the fixture, however this is subject to change in a future firmware release. -

The only way I could get this to work was to hold the cycle button on both my Radions at the same time. This is really frustrating.
