I have been using the Ecotech config utility since I purchased my light over a month ago. Today I went to load a new light cycle and my software is crashing on startup. Nothing has changed with the computer. In fact, the eco tech software is the only program I have even run on this laptop in quite some time. I checked the event viewer and I am getting a .net error of 1026. "unhandled exception". I have tried everything under the sun to get it working again.
I have uninstalled the software and removed all traces of the software and reinstalled and it still crashes on startup. I have removed all save files as suggested on another thread but that didn't work either. At time I see the splash screen pop up fast enough to see that the software is checking for update before it appears to crash but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I just installed the software for the 20th time in a different directory and the application started up. Any reason why suddenly this program doesn't want to run from the Program Files directory?

Thanks for your feedback. What version of Windows are you running? Can you please send me your project file? You can e-mail it to service@ecotechmarine.com.

Have you tried upgrading to the new software available on the site (version 6)?
